AMMA and the Cultural Bureau of SFTMA recently held a talk and debate titled “Role and Relevance of Malayalee Traditions & Culture will Pale with Time” This took place on 28 Apr 2024, at the Royal Selangor Club – Bukit Kiara.
The morning kicked off with speeches by Dato Rajan Menon (President of AMMA), Mdm Hilda Alposilva (President of SFTMA) followed by Datin Sri Shaila V (Head of Cultural Bureau- SFTMA)
The debate chaired / moderated by Mdm Sreekala took off right after.
The teams proposing and opposing the motion, came in well prepared and presented their arguments.
The eloquent, inspiring and humorous Prof Dr Suresh Govind left the audience in stitches with his take on the topic of how relevant and important culture & traditions were for an individual, families, communities and the future!
The afternoon ended with all attendees treated to a buffet luncheon.
